A decorative carpet with a Lotto design hand knotted in Armenia. The Lotto carpet was first produced during the 16th and 17th centuries of what was now present day Turkey. The patterns are known by a lacy arabesque design. 16th-century Venetian painter Lorenzo Lotto painted these style of carpets in his work and now they are referred as "Lotto carpets". Great design "twist" for the modern era.
